Recently outed pop star Jason Gerard feels in quite a different predicament from the days in the 60s when Rock Star David Bowie declared "I am gay, and always have been". The world is a different place now, in the 2000-what-you-ma-call-its (soon to be the 2010's), where no one seems to care if anybody is gay, straight, transgender, or in-between. But now we have Adam Lambert, the new American Idol non-winner, who though MAY have lost the vote to the clean cut, married, christian living...(I don't even wanna bother to look up his name), embodies the same essence Jason Gerard has been seeking for years, albeit on a national scale. May be Gerard doesn't have quite the reach to be noticed the way Lambert has, but he has been making, David Bow-ish, Iggy Pop-ish gender-bending rock for many years that, perhaps in his own twisted judgment, deserves some attention. With a record deal through Sonic Wave International, distributed by Sony BMG, Gerard has
some degree of credibility in even having someone hear his music out. So, please. log onto www.jasongerardmusic.com or www.myspace.com/jasongerardmusic and learn about the true gender-bender of our time, Jason Gerard

What's up with local music?
Mood:  caffeinated
What's up with these local bands that think that because they do the local club circuit and open for some has-been 80's hair metal nostalgia band, that they're the shit? That they are the top dog in the local band circuit? Unless I see you on 'Good Morning America' or 'The Tonight Show', don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. Don't act like you're all that unless you've got something really impressive to show me.

No show, but fun in the ICU
Mood:  accident prone
Got stuck in the hospital, didn't do my show on Nov. 6th, people are mad at me. Oh well! So much for bowing out gracefully. I guess I'll beat my head on the music business door for a few more years. Still have a few spots on my forehead that aren't black and blue yet!

Local stuff, TMC Meet 'n' Greet 'n' All
Had fun at my home-town Texas Music Coaltion meet and greet at Casa Chiapas in the historic Southtown District in San Antonio. Played snippets of my new CD, met some old friends and actually got out of my shell to socialize a little bit, only to cry myself to sleep that night! Oh well!
